Transparency About AI

Better Way Roofing uses artificial intelligence tools to support the creation of written content for this website. We're transparent about this because you deserve to know.

This page explains how we use AI, where it does and doesn't appear, and why a human is always in charge.

How We Use AI

Content Drafting

When we create a roofing guide or insurance claims article, the process starts with an interview between Lyle and our marketing partner. That interview is transcribed. An AI tool then assists in organizing and drafting the content from the transcript.

This saves time on formatting and structure, but the information, expertise, and voice come entirely from Lyle.

What Happens Next

Lyle reviews the draft. He corrects inaccuracies, adds details, rewrites sections, and approves the final version before it's published.

Nothing goes live without Lyle's personal review and approval.

What AI Does NOT Do

AI generates no content independently. It does not determine what we say, what positions we take, or what advice we give. That comes from Lyle's 10+ years of roofing experience.

AI plays no role in customer service. There are no chatbots, no automated recommendations, and no AI-generated responses to customer inquiries. Every customer interaction is handled directly by a member of our team.

AI plays no role in estimates or project decisions. Your assessment, quote, and project plan are created by Lyle or a member of his team, not by software.

We do not input customer data into AI tools. No customer names, phone numbers, addresses, roof details, or insurance information ever goes into an AI system. The only material we use as input is interview content with Lyle.

Why We're Transparent About This

AI is increasingly used in business. Some companies hide it. Some oversell it.

We believe you should know when AI is involved in creating the content you read. You should understand that Lyle reviewed and approved it. And you should know that AI has zero involvement in how we serve you as a customer.

Being transparent about this builds trust, not destroys it.

Our Position on AI

We are enthusiastic about AI where it genuinely helps us do our job better. Right now, that's limited to content support: organizing and formatting Lyle's expertise into clear, readable guides.

We're open to new uses as they emerge. But we maintain strict boundaries: AI is a tool, not a decision-maker. Humans are always accountable.

If our use of AI changes, we'll update this page.
