One Roof. One Warranty. One Accountable Contractor.
When something goes wrong with a roof, most homeowners discover the real problem isn't the leak.
It's the argument.
The contractor blames the manufacturer. The manufacturer blames the installer. The homeowner gets stuck in the middle.
We structure our warranties to prevent that entirely.
What We Guarantee
Depending on the roofing system installed, Better Way Roofing provides 10 to 25 years of combined material and workmanship coverage.
That means:
- One roof
- One warranty structure
- One accountable contractor
- No gray areas
If it's covered, we fix it. No disputes. No finger-pointing.
How Coverage Works
Every project includes two layers of protection:
Manufacturer Coverage
Protection against material defects: things that go wrong with the product itself. Coverage length depends on the product you choose. We explain the exact terms before installation.
Better Way Roofing Workmanship Coverage
Protection for installation and system performance. Our workmanship warranties are written, clearly defined, and non-prorated during the stated term.
Non-prorated means your coverage does not shrink over time. Most companies don't offer this. We do.
System-Specific Coverage
Warranty structure depends on the roofing system you select.
Asphalt Shingle Roofing
- Roof registered with manufacturer after installation
- Full system components installed (no mix-and-match parts)
- Owens Corning Certified installation
- Enhanced coverage available when full system requirements are met
Metal Roofing
Exposed Fastener Metal
- 10-year Better Way Roofing workmanship warranty
- 40-year paint warranty (manufacturer)
Hidden Fastener Metal
- 20-year Better Way Roofing material and labor coverage (non-prorated)
- 40-year paint warranty (manufacturer)
Stone-Coated Metal (Decra)
- Limited lifetime manufacturer warranty
- 20-year Better Way Roofing material and labor coverage (non-prorated)
Commercial Roofing (PVC and TPO)
- 20-year materials and labor coverage available
- Requires full system installation and manufacturer compliance
- Eligibility depends on scope
We review your exact warranty before work begins. No surprises.
Warranty Registration: The Critical Step
Here's where most contractors fail: unregistered warranties often aren't valid.
Many roofing companies skip registration. Some are lazy. Some don't follow manufacturer specifications closely enough to qualify.
We don't.
For every shingle roof we install, we register your warranty with the manufacturer after the work is complete. That step is not optional in our process.
When your warranty is registered:
- You're protected by the manufacturer, not just the contractor
- Your warranty remains valid even if Better Way goes out of business
- You have documentation if you ever need to file a claim
- You have a selling point if you sell your home
Lyle's Pro Tip: Before you hire any roofing contractor, ask whether they'll register your warranty with the manufacturer. If they hesitate, that's a red flag.
What Warranties Do Not Cover
No roofing warranty covers:
- Storm damage (handled through homeowner's insurance)
- Fallen trees or objects
- Neglect or lack of maintenance
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs
- Structural issues outside the roofing system
Storm damage is a separate matter. We assist clients through insurance claims when needed, but that's handled separately from warranty coverage.
If You Ever Need to Use It
You call us. We inspect the issue. If it's covered under our warranty, we repair it.
If manufacturer involvement is required, we coordinate the documentation and communication. You won't manage the process alone.
One company. One answer. One solution.
